Terms of Service
Effective 18 July 2026. These terms govern Epoyo websites, Epoyo Account, beta services, applications, and official downloads.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By creating an account, accessing a connected service, or using an Epoyo application, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be at least 16 and legally able to enter this agreement. If you act for an organization, you confirm that you may bind it.
2. Accounts
Provide accurate information, keep credentials and recovery access secure, and notify us promptly of suspected compromise. You are responsible for activity through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security. One Epoyo identity does not give every application unrestricted access; applications use isolated authorization.
3. Services and local-first use
Epoyo provides focused creative applications, account identity, release infrastructure, and optional connected features. Core local workflows and user-owned local files remain usable without an account where the relevant application supports local use. You are responsible for maintaining independent backups of important work.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of content you create or import. You grant us and our processors only the limited rights necessary to provide a connected feature you deliberately use, such as storing, transmitting, rendering, or sharing that content according to your instructions. You must have the rights needed for content you submit and must not use the services to violate law or another person's rights.
5. Beta services
Beta and preview software may be incomplete, change without backward compatibility, contain defects, or be suspended. Unless we state otherwise in writing, beta access has no uptime, support-response, preservation, or feature-continuity guarantee. Do not rely on beta services as the only copy of important data.
6. Downloads and open-source components
Install desktop software only from the official Epoyo download path. A public Launcher installer is not available until a signed artifact and supporting release information are published. Applications may include open-source components governed by their own notices and licenses; those terms control those components.
7. Acceptable use
Do not probe or bypass security, access another person's account or data, distribute malware, overload services, automate abusive requests, interfere with release verification, misrepresent an unofficial build as Epoyo software, or use the services for unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, or harmful activity.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the services and request account deletion. We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users or systems, investigate abuse, comply with law, or address a material breach. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy. Provisions that by nature should survive termination remain effective.
9. Fees
There is currently no public checkout or published paid plan on this website. If paid services are introduced, price, currency, taxes, billing interval, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms will be shown before purchase. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights.
10. Intellectual property
Epoyo software, names, logos, site content, and service infrastructure are protected by applicable intellectual-property law, except for user content and third-party or open-source material. No trademark or redistribution right is granted except as expressly stated in an applicable software license.
11. Availability, warranties, and liability
Services are provided with reasonable care but may be interrupted or changed. To the maximum extent permitted by law, beta and free services are provided without implied guarantees beyond mandatory law. Miguel Santos is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, or loss caused by failure to maintain backups where exclusion is lawful. Nothing excludes liability for intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or any liability or consumer right that cannot legally be limited.
12. Changes, law, and contact
We may update these terms for service, security, legal, or operational changes. Material changes affecting current account holders will receive reasonable notice. Swiss law applies, excluding conflict-of-law rules, and the courts at the operator's registered seat have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer forum or law. Questions: legal@epoyo.com.
